What a life! My autoimmune story

So much has happened and so much has changed since my fashion stylist days. Life has a brilliant way of destroying our plans... and dreams.

My autoimmune story

It's really common to have autoimmune issues nowadays - from Hashimoto's hypothyroidism to atopic dermatitis and various allergies - everyone has them and they're quite the rage.

For me - it is a pretty severe case of autoimmune ulcerative keratitis and constant eye inflammation that caused my two corneas to be transplanted over a period of two years. I also had my two lences replaced due to catarcts. All that before hitting 31 years of age, I bet your grandparents have less eye conditions than me. The autoimmune condition and the number of operations left me with very poor eyesight and permanently damaged right pupil and constant pain.
My dreams of making it as a stylist and owner of online clothes store were crushed, the store closed, the clients disappeared and I had to quit my paying job.
Not all is bad though - during all this I had a beautiful baby boy (the pregnancy worsened my condition greatly though) that grew up to be a beautiful toddler and then my autoimmune history came up again. My baby had health issues of his own manifesting in a condition closely resembling autism. After 1.5 years of therapy, diets and homeopathy however, we finally catch a break - I feel a little better and see moderately well with my left eye and my boy is much better, nearly recovered.

During the hard times I learned a lot about autoimmunity, autism, sensory issues, occupational therapy, ABA, healthy eating and living, GAPS protocol, microbiome aka gut flora, food supplements, homeopathy and Schussler salts etc.

I hope I could be helpful to someone somewhere going through what I have went through.

Since I had to quit my job due to health issues and the disability compensation in my country is waaaay below the minimum monthly wage, I will include affiliate links here and there without any obligation for you guys to use them.

Life's a b*tch, but so am I and I've had it with disease, so let's beat it .
